His most recent publication, “Getting Grief Right,” appeared in the New York Times on Jan. 11, 2015. He has written several other articles on child and family grief, beginning with his doctoral dissertation on the impact of the death of a child on marriage. Other professional activities include teaching seminars for medical and emergency personnel on grief, as well as training staff and volunteers at The WARM Place, a nonprofit center for grieving children and families.
